Hi! My name is Christie Neptune! I am a Washington, DC based Photographer and Video Editor from Brooklyn, NY with extensive skills in Research, Production and Post Production. Throughout my career, I have maintained the highest performance standards within a diverse range of creative functions which is clearly illustrated in my past experiences.

As a Freelance Video Editor, I have worked on Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro Platforms to edit short news segments, mini documentaries, EPK’s and Teasers for independent productions throughout the New York City Tri-state area.

Most recently, I edited a 7 min documentary for Central Brooklyn’s Soccer League, and a teaser for the Forthcoming Documentary, “So Young, So Pretty, So White.” In all positions I have demonstrated a strong skillset in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, MPEG Streamclip, Cinema Tools, Compressor, google docs and FileZilla.

In addition I am an experienced Researcher and Teaching Assistant. As a Teaching Assistant at the International Center of Photography (ICP), I aided faculty and staff with all aspects of the classroom or lab. I helped students keep up with the curriculum, sent out weekly assignments and scheduled final critiques. I routinely prepared equipment and chemicals, made photocopies and assisted with all relevant aspects of classroom management. I assisted in ICP’s Digital Photography II and 5 Min Portraiture Classes.

As a Researcher, I assisted MacAuthur Fellow, Donna Vermeer, on the development of a Special Goods Demographic Survey for Team Local. I am a practicing Interdisciplinary Artist with a B.A. in Visual Arts from Fordham University who takes initiative!
